The Breast Ultrasound Scan provides a detailed, real-time assessment of the breast tissue using high-resolution ultrasound imaging. It is a non-invasive test used to investigate breast lumps, pain, swelling, tenderness, or other changes in breast tissue. 

This scan is particularly helpful for assessing breast lumps, cysts, solid masses, inflammatory changes, and areas of concern identified during physical examination or other imaging. It is commonly used as a complementary investigation to mammography or as a first-line scan in younger patients.

You will be positioned comfortably with the shoulder exposed
Ultrasound gel is applied to the skin
A handheld probe is moved over the shoulder to capture live images

At Home (Home Visit):
A clinician visits your home with portable ultrasound equipment
The scan is performed in the same way as in clinic, offering added convenience
